Puglia in 2010 will enhance its services dedicated to the movie industry on the territory opening up 2 business centres located in Bari and Lecce.
Puglia has extended its range of services and funding for producers, maestros, artists and the public: two new buildings which enrich the region in addition to the extraordinary variety of locations and the human resources and services already available.
BARI
Bari Cineporto covers over 1,200 m² entirely dedicated to cinema and visual arts. It houses production offices, costume and tailoring rooms, casting studios, make-up and hairdressing areas, a scenery deposit and laboratory, areas for exhibitions and installation art, a bar and restaurant and extensive parking for production vehicles.
Furthermore, the Bari Cineporto is equipped with a 94-seat, full HD digital cinema with disabled facilities which also features a Dolby Surround system, interpreting booth, remote video direction and a conference area. The cinema offers daily screenings and can also be used for live music performances.
The Cineporto is also the head office of The Apulia Film Commission, the regional foundation which offers free services in addition to its annual film fund of €1,600,000.

LECCE
Lecce Cineporto, due to open in late February 2010, covers an area of 500 m² within one of Europe’s most wonderful industrial archaeological sites which has been converted for cultural use. Production companies can make use of office space, a casting studio, make-up and hairdressing areas, a costume department, a props and scenery deposit, areas for exhibitions and installation art, a bar and parking for production vehicles.
